Net4VET: New Platform Connecting the Western Balkans VET and Business Community

By Eklektika
Net4VET platform

The Regional Challenge Fund (RCF) has officially launched Net4VET, an innovative online platform designed to strengthen the vocational education and training (VET) ecosystem in the Western Balkans. The platform was recently presented to RCF grantees, who were invited to create and complete their profiles, marking the beginning of a collaborative journey to enhance VET across the region.

With the Net4VET, the RCF aims to foster collaboration and innovation in VET, ultimately contributing to a more skilled and competitive workforce in the region. It should bring together enterprises, VET providers, and policymakers to drive workforce development, enhance skills, and boost business competitiveness.

RCF grantees have been invited to actively participate in Net4VET by completing their project profiles, sharing their experiences, and engaging with the wider VET community.

“This platform empowers you to showcase your partnerships, areas of expertise, results, and products. You can connect, collaborate, and access innovative training models, best practices, and valuable resources to develop a skilled workforce that meets the evolving demands of the Western Balkans as it integrates into the EU single market”, said Jelena Manic Radoicic, Deputy Team Leader in the online launching event.

The RCF believes that the Net4VET will soon prove to be an invaluable resource for the whole VET community in the Western Balkans. In addition to knowledge-sharing and networking tools, the platform will serve as an online event venue for different webinars and trainings.

The Regional Challenge Fund (RCF) is a financing facility designed to increase youth employability and boost the competitiveness of enterprises in Western Balkan 6 by funding investments in selected cooperative training projects that are implemented through partnerships between vocational training institutes and the enterprises. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development commissioned 64.43 million EUR for the RCF, and the Swiss Government, represented by the SDC Swiss Development Cooperation, co-financed an additional 10 million EUR. The funds were commissioned to the KfW Development Bank and executed by the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6-CIF), a joint initiative of chambers of commerce from the region.
