North Macedonia: 30 Years of German-Macedonian Cooperation

30 years of German cooperation in North Macedonia was marked on Saturday, September 17th, in an event held in Skopje’s City Park that gathered German partners, institutions, and foundations in North Macedonia.

The German Ambassador in Skopje, Anke Holstein, greeted the invites, emphasizing the significance of cooperation between Germany and North Macedonia.

Such successful cooperation is realized through the Regional Challenge Fund, a grant support programme, the primary aim of which is to improve the competitiveness of enterprises and decrease the unemployment rate of young people in the region by helping both partners (training providers (VTIs) and companies) meet labour market needs.

The Fund was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), delegated to KfW Development Bank, and is executed by the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum.
