The success of the first RCF call for expressions of interest

The Regional Challenge Fund in the Western Balkan 6 had its first call for expressions of interest opened from February 1st until April 30th. The call encouraged the applications from consortia of vocational training institute and enterprises from WB6 economies, implementing cooperative VET courses that result in nationally recognized certificates.

The RCF is pleased to announce that 205 applications from all 6 Western Balkan economies were received.

These consortia are now competing for infrastructure, modern machinery and equipment investments, leading to an increased quality of market-relevant cooperative vocational education and training programmes. The grants will amount from 150.000 to 600.000 EUR.

The evaluation committee of the RCF has the difficult task of preselecting the most promising proposals for the second phase of developing the full project proposals, having in mind the limited funds available.

The evaluation committee will apply a set of predefined eligibility criteria to evaluate the received expressions of interest.
